I think the mermaid in the first picture was left over from Saint Paddy's Day. She may have consumed too many green beers and passed out on the shore. Second mermaid may have been drying on the beach under the elements for so long that all the colour got bleached out of her, much like crab shells one comes across. As for the tub of mermaids--they look like they're having way too much fun...but will have even more once they're back indoors sipping wine by the fire.
